The Bandon River rises in the Shehy Mountains in west Cork and flows east through Dunmanway, Ballineen, Enniskeane, Bandon and Innishannon to Kinsale Harbour. This is primarily a salmon and sea trout river but there are also plenty of resident brown trout on all stretches of the river system. I attended Limerick School of Art and Design. Where I graduated in Sculpture in 1991. After graduation, I qualified in Art, Craft and Design Teaching in 1993 and taught art full-time in Árd Scoil Mhuire, Corbally in Limerick from 1993 to 1999, and completed a Masters Degree in Education at the University of Limerick in 1999. I was born in Youghal, County Cork, where I now live and work as a full-time artist.
